Impasse Ronsin

December 18, 2020

I just finished an exceptional translation project for the Kehrer Verlag publishing house in Heidelberg and the Museum Tinguely in Basel about the celebrated artist community at Impasse Ronsin in Paris. The absolute pinnacle of translation work is when you can earn a living wage on a fascinating project that opens your horizons and lets you collaborate with top editors and curators. Even though I lived in Paris for three years and have written reams about the city and its artistic and literary traditions, I had never known how many major artists had their workshops on Impasse Ronsin or how this tiny alley near Montparnasse was a hub for avant-gardism. If you happen to be in Switzerland, I encourage you to visit the exhibition; if not, spend a few minutes reading about the Impasse Ronsin.
